Asset Management Consultant

Position Summary:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Asset Management Specialist to support and optimize our ServiceNow SAM Pro environment, ensuring accurate license tracking, reconciliation, and reporting across the organization.

• This role will focus on “tuning” SAM Pro to correctly count and measure software licenses, with a strong emphasis on licensing compliance and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and optimize ServiceNow SAM Pro to ensure accurate license counting and entitlement reconciliation.

• Perform ongoing reconciliation of license data as it is ingested into the system. Validate whether services are in use, determine production vs. non-production status, and ensure proper classification. Partner with hardware and platform owners to ensure asset and configuration data accuracy.

• Measure and report on software utilization, creating dashboards and reports within ServiceNow. Review and analyze licensing results, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.

• Manage and interpret software licensing models, including physical / on-prem solutions as needed.

• Provide expertise in license compliance and audit readiness.

• Collaborate closely with technical and platform leadership to ensure alignment and data integrity.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and software asset management processes.

• Strong knowledge of licensing, hardware and IT software solutions (AI models and token consumption a nice to have). 

• Experience with license reconciliation and entitlement management.

• Proficiency in reporting and dashboard creation within ServiceNow.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with technical and platform leadership.
