Position Summary
The IT Strategy & Integration Manager will lead technology assessments for prospective and acquired health systems, conducting comprehensive gap analyses between acquired environments and established enterprise technology standards.

This role will translate assessment findings into actionable demand requests, business cases, and integration roadmaps, while guiding initiatives through IT governance and demand management processes.

The position serves as a primary liaison between acquisition stakeholders, enterprise architecture, applications, and operational leaders to support effective technology integration and standardization.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor, diving into technical and business details, driving assessments independently, and navigating complex application and integration workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Due Diligence & Gap Assessment

  • Assess acquired hospital technology environments and document current-state processes and applications.

  • Compare current-state applications, infrastructure, integrations, cybersecurity, data platforms, and clinical systems against enterprise technology standards.

  • Identify and analyze gaps, risks, redundancies, costs, and opportunities.

  • Identify business impacts and workflow differences through stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering.

  • Develop transition and rationalization recommendations, including applications to be retained, replaced, sunsetted, or integrated.

2. Post-Acquisition Intake & Demand Management

  • Translate identified gaps into initiatives, projects, and enhancement requests.

  • Create business cases and intake artifacts to support demand management.

  • Prioritize work through established governance processes.

  • Manage application onboarding, replacement, retirement, and optimization requests.

  • Coordinate with business, clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

3. Integration Planning

  • Coordinate application migrations and technology standardization efforts.

  • Incorporate integration activities into the overall Program Integration Plan/Roadmap.

  • Track dependencies, timelines, risks, and business impacts.

  • Support synergy and value-realization targets.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in gap analysis and business process assessment.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT due diligence.

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow experience.

  • 2–3+ years of healthcare provider IT experience preferred as a baseline.

  • Strong experience in:

    • Application Portfolio Management

    • Demand Management and IT Governance

    • Stakeholder Management across clinical and operational areas

  • Stronger consideration will be given to candidates with a combination of healthcare IT, due diligence, gap assessment, and ServiceNow experience.

Strongly Preferred

  • Hospital acquisition and integration experience.

  • Enterprise architecture background.

  • Knowledge of the Epic ecosystem.

Nice to Have

  • PMP, CBAP, TOGAF, Lean, or Prosci certification.

  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interfaces.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in:

    • Computer Science

    • Healthcare Administration

    • Informatics

    • Information Systems

    • Or a related field

  • Master’s degree is not required. Relevant hands-on professional experience is highly valued.
