Key Responsibilities
Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)
Design, develop, and support Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and execution environments using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)
Administer and operate Ansible Tower/AAP, including inventories, credentials, projects, job templates, workflows, RBAC, and access controls
Integrate AAP with enterprise authentication, secrets management, and logging platforms
Ensure automation artifacts meet Truist standards for reusability, auditability, and security
Platform Engineering & Automation
Build standardized automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and lifecycle management
Enable governed self-service automation while maintaining strong controls and approvals
Automate compliance validation, configuration drift detection, and remediation
SRE & Reliability Engineering
Apply SRE principles to improve availability, resiliency, and MTTR across supported platforms
Support SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets through automation and observability integration
Automate operational tasks such as health checks, remediation, failover validation, and recovery procedures
Observability & Monitoring
Integrate Ansible automation with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Automate instrumentation, alert configuration, and telemetry onboarding
Support proactive issue detection and incident response
DevOps & CI/CD Integration
Integrate AAP automation into enterprise CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Promote DevOps best practices including source control, automated testing, and peer review
Partner with application and platform teams to reduce manual effort and deployment risk
Cloud, Security & Compliance
Support automation across hybrid and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, on-prem)
Embed security controls, secrets management, and least-privilege access into automation workflows
Ensure solutions comply with Truist security, risk, and regulatory requirements
Support audit, risk, and compliance reviews as required
Operations & Governance
Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes
Provide documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to Truist teams
Adhere to Truist vendor engagement, change control, and operational standards
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)
Expertise in Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, workflows, and execution environments
Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based source control
Experience with observability platforms (monitoring, logging, tracing)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Scripting experience with Python and/or Shell
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting enterprise-scale Ansible Tower/AAP environments
Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
Exposure to Kubernetes and container platforms
Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Experience with secrets management solutions (CyberArk, Hashi Corp Vault, cloud-native services)
Red Hat certifications (preferred):
Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
