Job Description:

The Citrix / NetScaler Engineer will be responsible for upgrading, managing, and supporting complex Citrix environments across enterprise-scale infrastructures. The role focuses on deep expertise in NetScaler ADC, CVAD components, StoreFront, PVS, WEM, and Citrix Licensing. The engineer will work with crossfunctional teams to ensure secure, highperformance, and resilient EUC delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. NetScaler (Citrix ADC) Administration

• Configure, deploy, and maintain NetScaler ADC appliances (MPX/VPX/SDX).
• Manage load balancing, GSLB, content switching, SSL offloading, and traffic optimization.
• Perform health checks, firmware upgrades, backup & restore.
• Troubleshoot network, authentication, and app delivery issues.

2. NetScaler SVM & Console

• Manage NetScaler Service Virtual Machine (SVM) for SDX platforms.
• Monitor and administer instances, capacity, and performance.
• Use NetScaler Console for orchestration, updates, and diagnostics.

3. Citrix DDC (CVAD)

• Administer Delivery Controllers (DDC), Machine Catalogs, and Delivery Groups.
• Manage VDA registration, policies, and brokering issues.
• Support CVAD upgrades, LTSR/CR lifecycle, and site configuration.

4. StoreFront

• Configure and manage StoreFront stores, server groups, and authentication methods.
• Optimize user experience, app enumeration, and failover configurations.
• Troubleshoot StoreFront-specific performance and connectivity issues.

5. Provisioning Services (PVS)

• Design, implement, and manage Citrix PVS farms.
• Create, maintain, and version vDisks; manage streaming capacity.
• Troubleshoot target device issues and performance slowdowns.

6. Workspace Environment Management (WEM)

• Deploy, configure, and optimize WEM for user personalization and resource management.
• Configure CPU/Memory optimizations, environment policies, and profile tuning.

7. Citrix License Server

• Install, maintain, and upgrade Citrix License Server.
• Manage license files, server communication, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance and address license allocation issues.

8. Platform Support & Integration

• Work with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, SSL certificate lifecycle.
• Support integration with Azure, VMware, or other virtualization platforms.
• Conduct rootcause analysis and ensure problem resolution SLAs.

9. Documentation & Processes

• Create SOPs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
• Participate in change management, service requests, and incident workflows.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  NetScaler ADC / SVM / Console
  CVAD (DDC), StoreFront, PVS, WEM
  Citrix Licensing
• Deep understanding of: TCP/IP, load balancing, SSO, FAS, certificates.
• Experience with Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Azure), and Active Directory.

Nice-to-Have

• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell).
• Experience with Citrix Cloud, MCS, WAF on NetScaler.
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Certifications: CCEV, CCPV, CCAN, CCEN.
