The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for our premier industry company, leading the search for an exceptional Staff Software Engineer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This high-impact role empowers a visionary technical leader to drive the creation of customer-facing command-and-control software for critical missions. You will spearhead the architecture and evolution of production-grade single-page applications and robust backend services that manage real-time telemetry, operational data, and intricate workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect core system foundations for advanced, data-driven single-page applications.

  • Engineer robust backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to power real-time telemetry and operational workflows.

  • Direct technical design phases for full-stack features, guaranteeing scalable and maintainable solutions.

  • Champion engineering standards, architectural patterns, and rigorous code-quality practices.

  • Formulate pivotal decisions concerning application structures, service boundaries, and system integrations.

  • Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability hurdles, and maintainability concerns across the complete technology stack.

  • Evaluate architectural designs and conduct thorough code reviews.

  • Cultivate team capability by mentoring engineers through collaborative technical discussions and constructive feedback.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor''''s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelors Degree, or 6+ years with a Masters Degree.

  • Proven track record designing and delivering significant production software systems.

  • Advanced capability across Full Stack engineering, encompassing Frontend architecture and Backend services.

  • Clear ability to articulate technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions.

  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex engineering challenges within disciplined, high-accountability environments.

  • Proficiency in writing code independently, with familiarity utilizing AI-Enabled development tools alongside solid engineering judgment.

  • Hands-on expertise with Python, TypeScript, Complex Data Visualization, Design Systems, Operational Or Decision-Support Tools, and Real-Time or Mission-Critical Software environments.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Annual Salary: $135,000 - $175,000
