Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Irving, Tx (Hybrid 3 days)
Role Overview
This Ops Engineer role is a senior, multi-disciplinary technical position within the Engineering & Architecture Services team. The engineer is responsible for the hands-on engineering, design, development, and operational stability of critical data-in-motion platforms, including Messaging, BPM, Streaming, and ETL services. This role requires a deep technical expert who can operate with full independence, contribute to technical strategy, lead stakeholder engagement, and ensure the delivery of highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions.
Core Responsibilities (Cross-Discipline)
- Contribute to the definition of technical strategy and the design of highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise platforms.
- Support the governance of platform security by contributing to security certifications, risk and control monitoring, and ensuring constant audit readiness.
- Design, develop, and test services and components for enterprise platforms in alignment with architectural best practices.
- Develop robust service automations for provisioning, configuration management, release engineering, and recurring operational tasks.
- Support the implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of all engineered services, including executing runbooks and performing initial issue triage.
- Establish and enforce service guidelines, performance benchmarks, and best practices to ensure operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in designing platform patterns and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Deep understanding of platform security principles and experience with security certification processes and audit requirements.
- Strong, hands-on experience in developing service automations and release engineering.
- Expertise in IaaS implementations on hybrid infrastructure (on-premise, Cloud).
- Extensive hands-on experience with container platforms like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Proficiency in Red Hat Linux environments.
- Comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of either ETL architecture or real-time streaming architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a subject matter expert (SME) for application teams and provide knowledge sharing for team members.
- Exceptional ability to provide technical and strategic direction and lead engagement with stakeholders.

- Collaboration: Proven ability to participate in and assist with cross-team and cross-domain initiatives.
