Thinking Minds' client is looking for an experienced Staff Data Engineer to join their GRC Enablement team. The role focuses on building transactional data foundations to support product teams. The engineer will own Postgres schema design, transactional data models, and the extraction layer feeding OLAP systems. This position is crucial for ensuring reliable, well-modeled data systems and enhancing data fluency across the organization.

Ideal Candidate Should Have

Postgres schema design experience

OLTP and OLAP integration expertise

Strong understanding of data modeling

Experience with data lifecycle management

Ability to mentor engineers on relational data

Role Overview

The role involves designing schemas, defining extraction and CDC patterns, and mentoring engineers on query optimization. The engineer will work closely with an OLAP specialist to manage the full data lifecycle for GRC, from transactional models to BI and history marts. The position requires collaboration with the platform data team to ensure shared infrastructure and tooling are effectively utilized.
