Job Overview

 

Our client is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Program Specialist Trainee to serve as a Customer Experience and Program Navigation Housing Specialist. In this role, you will assist program participants and the general public in navigating housing and community assistance programs efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Provide detailed guidance on housing assistance, eviction prevention, homelessness prevention, and utility assistance programs
  • Navigate participants through programs including LIHEAP, NRTC, CSBG, Special Housing, and Housing Production Unit programs
  • Deliver accurate, current information on all available housing services and supportive resources
  • Assist the public and program participants in accessing NJ Division of Community Affairs housing program assistance

Required Skills

 
  • Strong customer service and public communication skills
  • Knowledge of or experience with housing programs and community services
  • Bachelor's degree OR four years of experience working in a housing program

Preferred Skills

 
  • Experience with case management or program navigation
  • Familiarity with government or non-profit housing assistance programs

Location & Work Model

 

Onsite — 101 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08625. Business casual dress code. 1-hour unpaid lunch daily.
