Senior Mobile Application Developer (Kotlin)

Job Title: Senior Mobile App Developer (Kotlin)  Location: Parsippany, NJ Onsite Day 1 Duration: Contract/Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a strong background in Kotlin App Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high quality applications. This role requires a deep understanding of Kotlin and its ecosystem, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high quality mobile applications using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and other technical challenges.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Kotlin and mobile development.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in Kotlin App Development.
• Proficient in Android SDK and mobile application architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third party libraries.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Experience with unit testing and test driven development (TDD).
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on mobile applications.
• Proven experience in Kotlin App Development is a must.
• Strong portfolio of mobile applications developed in Kotlin.
