Location: Boston, MA [Onsite]

Job Description:

Industry Background:

  1. Experience in high-volume manufacturing within a Tier 1 automotive environment. Tier 1 automotive suppliers operate with tight margins and aggressive schedules, which demands manufacturing and industrial excellence.

Core Competencies:

  1. Manufacturing Process Development: Ability to define, design, and deliver manufacturing processes for complex assembly products — from conceptual phase through full production scale-up.
  2. Process Engineering Fundamentals: Strong command of PFD (Process Flow Diagrams), time studies, line balancing, and P-FMEA.
  3. Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Capable of analyzing product designs and providing actionable DFM recommendations.
  4. GD&T: Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and its application in manufacturing.
  5. Equipment & Vendor Management: Capable of writing technical specifications and managing vendors through full equipment commissioning.
  6. Industrial KPIs: Strong understanding of operational metrics — OEE, MTTR, MTBF, cycle time, throughput, yield, etc.
  7. Digital Manufacturing: Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and digital manufacturing principles.
