Description - Fully onsite in Cincinnati - ServiceNow Architect
Overview:
The ServiceNow Architect will be part of the Service Management Office (SMO) ServiceNow ITSM team providing technical leadership to mature Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) on the ServiceNow platform. Responsible for design and implementation of CMDB solutions catering the needs of IT and business stakeholders across enterprise. Provides guidance on CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping best practices, new features, and integration procedures that will help address current challenges and enable new practices delivering value to the enterprise. Serves as CMDB consultant in working with ServiceNow Development, ITSM, ITAM, and other IT application teams providing research and solution support on CMDB integrations. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, while updating management on regular basis.
Job Responsibilities -What they will do
This role serves as the primary expert for ServiceNow CMDB design, development, and integrations, leading the CMDB roadmap and ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. It provides technical leadership across ITSM, ITAM, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams while developing and maintaining CMDB architecture, documentation, and data integrations with tools such as ServiceNow Discovery and SCCM. The position manages project plans, delivers demos and workshops for stakeholders, and oversees advanced CMDB administration, data quality, and governance. It also leads major CMDB initiatives from concept through completion, collaborates with Enterprise Architecture on Service Graph Connectors, participates in Architecture Review Board meetings, and ensures compliance with organizational standards while driving continuous improvement across the platform.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must Haves
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years (5 ideally) - Strong experience with CMDB design, Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations
  • Hands-on experience with MID Server setup and administration
  • Solid background in ServiceNow administration (including some scripting) - scripting will not be something they'll be doing often, but they will need experience and know how
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional IT and business teams

Preferred Experience
Knowledge of ITIL processes; ITIL 4 certification preferred
Familiarity with CSDM, Change Management, and enterprise discovery tools (BigFix, SCCM, ServiceNow Discovery)
Experience in the financial or insurance industries is a plus
ServiceNow CMDB related micro certifications preferred (CMDB, CMDB Health, Discovery)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
