Summary

Job Title: Sr. Database Administrator
Location: Austin, TX, (Hybrid)- 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Fri) required to be onsite
Position Type: Contract

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases supporting enterprise applications.
  • Perform database tuning, indexing, and performance optimization to ensure high availability.
  • Migrate data from Oracle databases to Azure SQL and support data conversion activities.
  • Convert Oracle Stored Procedures, Functions, and database objects to Azure SQL.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize logical and physical data models.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements.
  • Execute database installations, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Manage database security, user access, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Implement data replication, archiving, and database maintenance policies.
  • Support high availability, clustering, and load balancing configurations.
  • Collaborate with development teams in an Agile (Scrum) environment to support application development and deployment.
  • Ensure database integrity, availability, and reliability across production and non-production environments.
