Java Web Engineer Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Web Engineer Consultant. The candidate must work onsite 3 days a week in Holyoke, MA.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Java Web Engineer Consultant with strong technical expertise in AWS. The Consultant will play a key role in a high-priority upgrade and conversion project, contributing immediately upon boarding. You will work closely with the IT Development team and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Enhance existing applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
* Interact with Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL
* Develop new front-end pages with HTLM, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
* Enhance existing front ends using Thymleaf, HTML, CSS and AJAX
* Write thorough, correct unit tests using Junit and Mockito
* Deploy code using Jenkins
* Interact with end users to determine requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience working with Oracle databases
* Experience building front ends using HTLM, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
* Experience writing Unit tests with Junit and Mockito
* Strong proficiency in Java 17/21
* Strong proficiency in Spring MVC
* Excellent Communication skills
* Highly adaptable and resilient under pressure
* Independent worker; Able to clear their own blocks
* Experience with PL/SQL skills nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
