Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled R2R Data Engineer (Record-to-Report) to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions that support financial reporting, analytics, and decision-making. This role involves working with modern cloud data platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure data pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and financial data processes, with a focus on building scalable architectures and ensuring data accuracy across systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data architectures and dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) for financial reporting
  • Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
  • Develop and manage data services, APIs, and integrations with downstream systems
  • Implement data quality frameworks, validation checks, and reconciliation processes
  • Optimize SQL queries and data performance within Snowflake environments
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Advanced expertise in SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Proven experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (Git)
  • Strong understanding of data security and governance practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming)
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with data quality tools (Great Expectations, Soda, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Financials
  • Understanding of financial processes (R2R, O2C, P2P)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
