Responsibilities

CI/CD & GitOps Delivery:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support automated software delivery
  • Implement GitOps-based deployment workflows using ArgoCD
  • Support blue/green and canary deployment strategies within Kubernetes environments
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues across environments

Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS GovCloud):
  • Manage and deploy applications in AWS GovCloud environments in compliance with VA security policies
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Support containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for standardized deployments

DevSecOps & Compliance Automation:
  • Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
  • Integrate and maintain container and code security tools (e.g., Snyk, Aqua Security, Anchore, CodeQL)
  • Automate security compliance and ATO evidence generation (e.g., scan results, SBOMs, audit artifacts)
  • Support ATO processes and ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements

Secrets, Observability & Platform Integration:
  • Manage secrets and credentials using HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimization solutions
  • Integrate with VA enterprise observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk)
  • Ensure alignment with VA Lighthouse API standards and enterprise integration patterns
    Collaboration & Agile Delivery
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable architectures
