2 Plano, TX (2nd Preference)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Appian Architect with strong architecture and hands-on design expertise to lead end-to-end Appian implementations. This role strictly requires an Architect-level professional. Developer or Senior Developer profiles will not be considered.

The ideal candidate must be capable of owning solution architecture, design governance, best practices implementation, and providing technical leadership across complex Appian BPM projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Appian BPM solutions
Define end-to-end technical architecture including integrations, security, data modeling, and deployment strategy
Translate business requirements into scalable Appian application architecture
Provide architectural governance, code reviews, and best practice guidance
Design complex workflows, process models, interfaces (SAIL), and integrations
Architect integration solutions using REST/SOAP, web services, APIs, and external systems
Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and security compliance
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and enterprise architects
Support deployment strategy and DevOps alignment
Lead customer discussions and participate in architectural reviews

Required Skills & Experience:

10+ years of overall IT experience
6+ years of strong hands-on experience in Appian
Proven experience as an Appian Architect (not just Senior Developer)
Strong expertise in:

Appian Application Architecture
Process Modeling
SAIL Interface Design
Data Modeling & CDTs
Integration Design (REST/SOAP/Web APIs)
Appian Security & Performance Tuning

Experience in leading enterprise-level Appian implementations
Strong understanding of BPM concepts and best practices
Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Ability to handle customer-facing architecture discussions

Preferred Qualifications:

Appian Certified Senior Developer / Lead Developer / Architect certification preferred
Experience in Financial Services / Telecom / Enterprise environments is a plus
Experience working in Agile methodology
