We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our team. This position is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process from inception to completion. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and a leader with a strong background in fully integrated development. This role requires a unique blend of skills and experience, including job walk-throughs, project management, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing project development from initiation to closure.
2. Conduct job walk-throughs to assess the progress of construction projects, identify potential issues, and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
3. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, construction workers, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
4. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
5. Ensure all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
6. Lead and manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
7. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
8. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
9. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction management role, with a focus on fully integrated development.
3. Demonstrated experience in conducting job walk-throughs and managing large-scale construction projects.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
6. Proficient in project management software and tools.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders.
8. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
9. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Proven ability to manage budgets and timelines, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
11. Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
