Summary
Role: Senior Tableau Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA 3000 Northwoods Pkwy #150, Peachtree Corners, GA 30071
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically strong Senior Tableau Developer to lead the design and implementation of interactive dashboards and visual analytics. This role will play a critical part in helping the workforce outcomes through rich, disaggregated, and anonymized data visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with OIT, agency SMEs, and data engineers to design and develop Tableau dashboards aligned with defined use cases:

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and intuitive Tableau visualizations.
- Optimize performance and responsiveness of dashboards, ensuring rendering efficiency across large data volumes.
- Develop visualizations that meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Build and maintain dashboards on Tableau Server (enterprise deployment).
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams using DevOps for sprint planning, story tracking, and code versioning.
- Participate in code walkthroughs, sprint demos, and collaborative design reviews.
- Document dashboard designs, calculated fields, KPIs, filters, and source logic for operational handover.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in data visualization with at least 4+ years in Tableau development.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex and interactive Tableau dashboards, ideally in public sector or education domains.
- Expertise in dashboard performance tuning and best practices.
- Familiarity with RBAC implementation within Tableau and secure PII data handling practices.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, version control (e.g., Git), and Azure DevOps pipeline practices.
- Experience working with large, longitudinal datasets, ideally in government, education, or labor sectors.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with Snowflake / Informatica ELT pipelines.
- Experience writing performant SQL queries and working with views, secure data shares, and role-based access
