Portfolio Systems Analyst (Power Platform & Reporting)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Portfolio Systems Analyst to support portfolio management, financial operations, reporting, and governance activities through the development and enhancement of Power Platform solutions. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to portfolio leaders by developing SharePoint sites, Power Apps, Power BI dashboards, and reporting solutions that improve portfolio visibility, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on SharePoint Development and Microsoft Power Platform expertise with strong analytical skills and experience supporting portfolio operations, financial reporting, and governance. In addition to technical development, this role will provide light project coordination and partner closely with business stakeholders to continuously improve portfolio tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, workflows, and related solutions to support portfolio management and business operations.
  • Develop and enhance Power Apps to streamline portfolio, financial, and operational processes.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide visibility into portfolio performance, financials, resource utilization, and project health.
  • Integrate SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 tools to create scalable business solutions.
  • Support portfolio financial management, including budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, actuals, accruals, and variance reporting.
  • Analyze portfolio data and develop reporting solutions that provide actionable business insights.
  • Support portfolio governance through KPI reporting, status dashboards, action tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate meetings, track action items, and support portfolio planning and execution activities.
  • Partner with portfolio leaders, project managers, finance teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to identify process improvements and implement technical solutions.
  • Continuously improve reporting, automation, workflows, and portfolio management tools using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on SharePoint Development experience (required).
  • Hands-on Microsoft Power Apps Development experience (required).
  • Strong Power BI experience including dashboard development, DAX, reporting, data modeling, and visualization.
  • Experience integrating SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power BI solutions.
  • Experience supporting portfolio reporting, financial reporting, or operational reporting.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, or financial reporting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting project, program, or portfolio management activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power Automate or Microsoft Power Platform automation.
  • Experience supporting portfolio management offices (PMO) or enterprise project organizations.
  • Familiarity with Planview, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar portfolio management tools.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other complex enterprise environments.
