Job Description:
A recently replaced multiple outdated legacy systems with a new pension administration system known as Benefit Connect (BC). BC functionality includes contribution reporting and collections, crediting service, member demographic information maintenance, service credit purchases, benefit application processing, benefit calculation, benefit payroll, third party deductions and disbursements, tax reporting, receivables and collections, correspondence and statement generation, and event tracking. Over 200 staff members are involved in the effort.
The purpose is to select experienced Senior Test Analyst with knowledge and experience of requirements management methodologies; requirement elicitation, documentation, and management; and testing methodologies and management for a pension, financial or similar system. The Senior Test Analyst will perform various test activities related to the recently implemented BenefitConnect pension administration system. The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for supporting the technical teams with test planning, test scheduling, development of processes and staffing requirements for defect triage/business analysis, assist with test case development, date shift coordination, and other test activities.
Minimum Technical Qualifications
- At least ten (10) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years performing the following activities while working as a test analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation or modernization of legacy applications:
- Coordinating with a team of business, functional and technical testers to set up test execution goals and objectives.
- Defect management being responsible for validation, follow-up, solution verification, and escalation actions for all defects encountered for the application.
- Producing test execution and defect metrics as necessary for the project teams comprising of burndown charts and trends.
- At least ten (10) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years reviewing, developing, and / or providing input to project deliverables and artifacts produced during the project such as the following:
- Business Requirements and Business Rules
- Technical and Service Requirements
- Test Strategies
- Test Plans
- Test Cases
- Transition Plans
- Traceability Matrices
- At least eight (8) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as JAMA to document functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications, test cases, defects and providing full traceability for the project.
- At least eight (8) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years having a good hands-on experience of working with large databases, using and writing SQL Queries for finding data for testing applications or Interfaces.
Desirable Technical Qualifications
- Experience as a Test Analyst working with a public pension system of similar size.
- Experience as a Test Analyst leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension/retirement-related software development projects.
- At least five (5) years of experience within the last twelve (12) years designing, developing, and performing testing using testing automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber and ROBOT Framework.
