System Engineering/ISSE position is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of system/cybersecurity engineering and assisting leadership with knowledge of systems development, engineering, cybersecurity and integration. The successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions, build successful solutions for executing programs, and strengthen our market domination.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- System Engineering team to ensure all contractual requirements and deliverables are met
- Support and assist with responses to customer requested Studies, ROMs, ECPs/TOs
- Requirement analysis
- System design
- Reliability analysis
- System documentation updates
- Conduct assessments of existing IT architecture for compliance with security requirements from applicable security frameworks
- Develop IT security policies, standards, and guidance
- Provide input to A&A process activities and related documentation such as systems concept of operations, system security design, implementation plans, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials
- Provide engineering support and assistance to authorization/accreditation test and evaluation activities
- Develop IT architecture deliverables, specific to information security countermeasure implementations, for operational systems and systems under development
- Work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
- Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
- Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings
- Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings
Position is contingent upon successful contract award.Experience and Skills- 7-10+ years information systems engineering experience
- BS in Cybersecurity Engineering or related field
- Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
- Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization
- Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
- Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally and externally to the customer and users.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience with using a wide array of security tools and other scanning applications
- Must have a DoD 8570/8140 IAT II or III certification
Preferred Skills and Experience - Experience with satellite ground systems
- Experience with SCN (formally AFSCN)
- Experience with SATCOM mission planning
- Experience with SecDevOps processes and related Agile methodologies
- Experience with system hardware/software integration
- Experience with evaluating/proposing security architectures and designs and provide input as to the adequacy of those security designs to meet required security compliance objectives
- Understanding of information security principles and risk assessment techniques

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000
