SAS Developer(Only Indepedent Candidates on W2)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAS programs, macros, and data processing workflows.
• Analyze large volumes of banking and financial data to support business and regulatory requirements.
• Develop ETL processes using SAS for data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical models for business stakeholders.
• Support regulatory reporting initiatives including CCAR, Basel III, AML, KYC, CECL, and Stress Testing.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Risk Teams, Data Architects, and Compliance teams to gather requirements.
• Optimize SAS code and processes for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow SDLC best practices.

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SAS Development.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Base SAS
  • SAS Macro Programming
  • SAS SQL (PROC SQL)
  • SAS Data Step Programming
  • SAS Enterprise Guide
  • SAS Stored Processes
• Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or DB2.
• Experience with ETL/Data Warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting.
• Experience in data modeling and data analysis.
