Job Title: Senior InterSystems HealthShare Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior InterSystems HealthShare Developer with strong experience in healthcare data integration and interoperability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level integration solutions using InterSystems IRIS and HealthShare, enabling seamless data exchange across clinical and healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement healthcare integration solutions using InterSystems HealthShare and IRIS platforms.

• Build and maintain interoperable interfaces leveraging HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, and healthcare data standards.

• Develop data mappings and transformations to support accurate data exchange across clinical systems, EHRs, and external healthcare applications.

• Implement and support integrations involving Unified Care Record (UCR), Patient Index, Provider Directory, and Health Insights.

• Develop RESTful services using Cache ObjectScript and IRIS APIs.

• Perform Flat File to SDA3 / ECR transformations and manage healthcare data ingestion workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, analysts, and healthcare stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation including interface specifications, mappings, workflows, and test plans.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments to improve integration reliability and performance.

• Identify opportunities to optimize integration processes and improve overall healthcare data exchange efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with InterSystems HealthShare and InterSystems IRIS.

• Proficiency in Cache ObjectScript and REST API development.

• Experience working with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and clinical integration models.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Unified Care Record (UCR)

  • HealthShare Patient Index

  • HealthShare Provider Directory

  • HealthShare Health Insight

  • API Manager

• Experience with Medical Claims data is highly preferred.

• Exposure to AWS cloud environments.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
