Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes / Python / EKS)

Location: Columbus, OH / Dallas, TX

Duration: Long Term

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, and Python to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and managing containerized workloads in AWS.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and manage workloads
Develop automation scripts and tools using Python
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI)
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS infrastructure
Implement security best practices (IAM, VPC, security groups, RBAC)
Manage Docker images and container registries
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes
Implement logging and monitoring using CloudWatch / Prometheus / Grafana

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Deep expertise in Kubernetes (cluster setup, scaling, networking, troubleshooting)
Experience managing workloads in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service
Strong Python scripting skills
Experience with Docker and container orchestration
Hands-on experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Understanding of networking, load balancing, and cloud security
Experience with Helm charts is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
Experience with service mesh (Istio / Linkerd)
Knowledge of GitOps (ArgoCD / Flux)
Experience in high-availability production environments
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Nice to Have

Experience with microservices architecture
Experience with observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Experience with multi-account AWS environments
