Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $62.00 USD Hourly
Description: Key Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and analyze planned vs. actual costs for assigned capital projects
- Monitor project expenditures, forecasts, and budget performance
- Identify and report cost variances with detailed narrative analysis
- Support project management teams in overall financial processes
- Assist with contract administration and change control through cost reviews
- Prepare and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and ad hoc financial reports
- Alert project managers and leadership of potential overruns and recommend forecast adjustments
- Review project charges for accuracy and resolve mischarges
- Review and validate progress payments and milestone-based expenses
- Perform weekly Purchase Order analysis and reporting
- Analyze unbilled liabilities and expense timing
- Attend construction/field updates and integrate progress into financial reporting
- Support earned value analysis and project performance tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of job-relevant financial or project cost experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and SAP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
- MBA and/or CPA
- AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) certification or equivalent
- Professional certification in cost control
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience with:
- SAP R/3, BW, SRM, Work Management systems
- Maximo
- Primavera P6
- Power BI
- Power Query
- Database systems
- Experience supporting large capital or construction projects
- Utility, energy, infrastructure, or industrial project experience
- Advanced Excel (including Power Query)
- SAP Financial and Work Management systems
- BI and reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
- Project scheduling and cost systems (Primavera P6 preferred)
- Data analysis and database utilization
- Financial forecasting and variance analysis tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present financial data to technical and executive stakeholders
- High-level analytical and problem-solving capability
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to influence and advocate for financial best practices
