The Sr. Lead Software Engineer serves as the technical leader for Master Data Management (MDM) data integration and movement, with accountability for data ingestion, transformation, quality assurance, and distribution of master data across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Data Pipeline Ownership
    Own and maintain accountability for the complete MDM data pipeline, ensuring seamless data flow from source systems through mastering and downstream distribution.
  • ETL Solution Design & Transformation Leadership
    Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable ETL solutions, ensuring efficient and reliable data integration processes.
  • Data Quality & Validation Framework
    Define and oversee data contracts, data quality standards, validation rules, and control frameworks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of master data.
  • Batch Processing & SLA Management
    Own the execution and performance of batch processing operations, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and timely issue resolution.
  • Platform Optimization & Modernization
    Drive the modernization of ETL capabilities by leading the adoption of Azure-based technologies, improving scalability, performance, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Technical Leadership & Team Development
    Provide technical direction, mentorship, and oversight to the ETL team, promoting engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
Salary Range:
$114,500 - 194,700 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
