Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer with 7+ years of enterprise integration experience and 5+ years of hands-on expertise in Workato to design, develop, and support scalable integration and automation solutions across cloud and on-premises applications. This role will be responsible for building enterprise-grade integrations, API connectivity, workflow automation, and data orchestration solutions that enable seamless business operations. The position is fully remote and requires availability during US business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain integrations using Workato.
- Build scalable workflows, recipes, and automation solutions across enterprise platforms.
- Integrate SaaS, cloud, and on-premise applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop data mapping, transformation, and synchronization processes across multiple business systems.
- Automate business workflows, approvals, notifications, and operational processes.
- Implement secure integration solutions using OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, API Keys, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Establish logging, alerting, exception handling, and operational support mechanisms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and product teams to deliver integration solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, release planning, and production deployments.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to integration best practices, standards, and governance.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, middleware, or systems integration.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing integrations using Workato.
- Strong experience with REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Webhooks, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, or similar business applications.
- Solid understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and SSO.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and release management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workato Certification(s).
- Experience with additional iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Celigo, or Informatica.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud integration services.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise integration ecosystems.
- Prior experience working with distributed teams and global stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
