Summary

Job/Position Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of standard work, process design, establishing standard times for direct labor, line balancing and operator requirement on the shop floor
  • Responsible for setting up time standards in the assembly line workstations based on MOST/MODAPTS/MTM or any similar standards
  • Support in setting time standards for indirect labor on the shop floor
  • Establish Value Added content and Non-Value Added work content. Ability to work on NVA and reduce NVA and improve process time, improve ergonomics & eliminate waste in the assembly line/ station
  • Develop station by station layout and establish part presentation for each operation
  • Establish material routing & line side stock presentation
  • Logistics layout mapping, parts mapping, route mapping
  • Volume Analysis, Part level consumption Analysis, Part Categorization
  • Prepare and maintain documents - PFEP database and relevant documentation
  • Engagement in Daily Management system
  • Collaborate with members of the Customer team to identify gaps to achieve area metrics
  • Drive Continuous Improvement activities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, & Productivity
  • Engage with safety dept, maintenance, tool room, or external vendors to support improvements
  • Follow up on implemented solutions to confirm effectiveness
  • Participate in kaizen events related to logistics as identified
  • Provide logistics support in various stages of Build along with shop floor co-ordination
  • Support Validation of Kitting logic (Time, BOM Consumption, Model Option)
  • Support packaging requirements making changes as needed
  • Manage kitting system and generate kit sheets

Education Required:

  • BS/MS in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
