Position: Business Systems Analyst (Consultant)

Position Summary
The Business Systems Analyst (Consultant) will support enterprise technology initiatives by serving as the bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams. The role focuses on business process analysis, requirements gathering, Agile delivery, system integrations, testing, and deployment support for complex Legal, Safety, and Risk Management platforms.
The ideal candidate possesses strong business analysis experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional teams while ensuring successful delivery of enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, Product Teams, IT, vendors, and implementation partners to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
- Conduct discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement gathering.
- Analyze current business processes and design future-state workflows.
- Perform gap analysis, process optimization, and workflow documentation.
- Create and maintain:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
- Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
- User Stories
- Acceptance Criteria
- Process Flows
- Data Mapping Documents
- Integration Specifications
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs using JIRA and Azure DevOps.
- Support Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Backlog Grooming
- Daily Collaboration
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Work closely with development teams throughout the SDLC.
- Analyze enterprise integrations involving:
- REST APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- SFTP
- Middleware
- Batch Interfaces
- Support application architecture, integrations, security models, and technical solution alignment.
- Create solution documentation using Visio, Miro, and Lucidchart.
- Coordinate SIT and UAT testing activities.
- Develop test cases and support defect resolution.
- Perform SQL queries, data validation, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate vendor deliverables and implementation activities.
- Prepare executive reports, meeting notes, status reports, and decision logs.
- Track risks, dependencies, blockers, and improvement opportunities.
