Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician
Job Description
We're supporting an opportunity for an Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician who will be responsible for the physical build-out, installation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with servers, network hardware, structured cabling, and day-to-day operational support in a fast-paced data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling.
  • Perform installation, testing, and repair of fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Ensure all cabling and vendor installations meet data center standards and installation best practices.
  • Install and maintain structured cabling pathways, racks, trays, and network/server hardware.
  • Report status updates through ticketing systems, email, Slack, and daily status reports.
  • Manage work assignments and priorities through ticket queues to complete customer requests and project work.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, change records, and labeling for all infrastructure.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and maintain a clean and organized work site.
  • Work with a partner to safely move enterprise-level equipment from loading docks to designated positions.
  • Coordinate and verify daily materials delivery to the site.
  • Carry a cell phone for operational communication and emergency response.
  • Travel up to 50% within the local work area (occasional travel outside the area may be requested).

Role Overview In this position, you will contribute to the stability and growth of next-generation data center networks. You'll help deploy new server technologies, resolve infrastructure-related issues, and support scaling efforts across the environment. The role requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable working with servers, switches, structured cabling, and various networking devices from both a hardware and software perspective.

Desired Experience
  • Rack & stack installations (servers, switches, racks).
  • Fiber and copper cable installation and termination.
  • Experience with Cat5/6/6a cabling.
  • Patch panel installation and cable labeling.
  • Familiarity with Fluke meters, OTDR testers, or similar tools.
  • Previous work in a data center or fast-paced physical IT environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and safety practices.

Shift Options
  • Front Half Days (FHD): Sunday-Tuesday + every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Back Half Days (BHD): Thursday-Saturday + every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
