Job description :

•                     Uses AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) DAILY — non-negotiable

•                     Direct Shopify experience (Liquid, APIs, themes, apps)

•                     Has built and shipped something with AI — I need to see a link or repo

•                     Senior level with full-stack ownership experience

•                     Security fundamentals — secrets management, incident response

•                     Can train non-technical teams on AI — this person leads AI adoption

•                     We''re hiring a Developer & AI Lead to own our technical stack, lead our AI transformation, and build one unified platform that brings every function of the business online - ops, marketing, product, finance, HR, all of it.

•                     This is a high-ownership, high-impact role. You report directly to the CEO and company leadership.

What you''ll own:

•                     Our vehicle fitment database and configurator (complex data model powering Year/Make/Model/Submodel lookups and SKU mapping across thousands of vehicles)

•                     The bridge between marketing and supply chain at the SKU level - building data systems that connect ad performance, website behavior, conversion rates by persona, and purchase intent by vehicle type to help the team make smarter inventory decisions

•                     AI adoption across the entire company - building internal tools, deploying AI agents, connecting APIs and MCPs, and training every team member to vibe code and build their own solutions. Your success is measured by how autonomous you make everyone else.

•                     Security, networking, and IT for the whole business - secrets management, access controls, incident response, infrastructure, and general IT support. When things break, you''re the calm in the storm.

•                     Release engineering and reliability - git discipline, staging/production environments, rollback procedures, redundancies, monitoring. You know what a stable release looks like and what to do when we''re under attack.

•                     Shopify storefront and Ship Station fulfillment pipeline

What we''re looking for:

•                     3–7 years full-stack development experience

•                     Strong Shopify experience (Liquid, APIs, theme customization, apps)

•                     You already use AI coding tools daily (Claude, Cursor, etc) - this is non-negotiable

•                     Experience building data pipelines and dashboards connecting marketing data to operational data

•                     Security & networking fundamentals - secrets management, API key rotation, OAuth, VPNs, firewalls

•                     Git discipline - meaningful commits, proper branching, PR reviews, clean rollbacks

•                     Incident response experience - you''ve been in the trenches and have the scars to prove it

•                     IT ownership mindset - you''re the go-to for anything technical, from a downed server to a laptop that won''t boot

•                     Strong communicator who can teach non-technical teammates to build with AI safely

•                     Not threatened by everyone in the company vibe coding - excited by it

Bonus points :

•                     Past experience at Anthropic, OpenAI, Google DeepMind, or other leading AI companies/labs

•                     Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations

•                     Background in e-commerce, automotive fitment data, or aftermarket accessories

•                     Experience building unified internal platforms across multiple business functions

•                     Security certs or incident response leadership experience
