Location:REMOTE - Hartford, CT 06106
Pay Rate:$40.00 (W2 only) or $46.00 (INCORPORATED), (Not accepting 1099 or C2C)

This role is 100% REMOTE (MUST reside in the USA)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM - Includes teleworking but attending in-person meetings when needed.

Applications Tester is responsible for system testing, User Acceptance Testing, and requirements validation of the Information Sharing System (CISS), and any other systems. They're also responsible for understanding all of the areas of the system and providing institutional knowledge of its design and operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Creating test use cases, doing the testing, creating the test results reports, and implementing the testing needed by the project managers
Providing documented processes to the testing team in the implementation of the required testing
Supporting the resolution of defects found during testing and providing general testing process consultation to the project team
Working on testing activities for new releases for the team and stakeholders.
Developing presentations for stakeholders, officials, and other interested parties when requested by the Management Reporting test results, documenting reported defects to test lead. Entering the defects in defect management tool
Collaborate on the architecture and expansion of the automation framework.
Ability to maintain automation test Suite and integrate to DevOps.
Work cooperatively with other Team Members including Team Leader/Manager, Developers, Testers, and Designers

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience as a Tester, providing systems testing, testing uses cases, and User Acceptance Testing with requirements validation for IT Projects
Experience in NIEM XML or another complex XML Standards
Experience with testing web services manually using Soap UI/Postman
An ability to understand the complexity of a large integrated system and to trace problems to their source
Exposure to programming in 3rd generation languages and knowledge of software design patterns
Experience with SOA technologies
Experience in scripting complex SQL queries (Microsoft SQL server)
Proficient in core programming languages C# or Java.
Sound knowledge on automation reporting tools, such as Extent Reports.
Proven experience in data driven automation testing.
Sound knowledge on GitHub.
Proficient in MS Excel
Ability to validate Traceability Matrix to contractual requirements
Ability to handle the full lifecycle of Automation framework development.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology

Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of IBM Rational Jazz Suite
