Role Overview
  • We are seeking a senior-level Enterprise Solutions Architect to support complex retirement platform migration initiatives. The architect will play a critical role in defining end-to-end enterprise architecture, supporting platform modernization, and leading complex system migrations within the retirement domain. We need an enterprise thinker with strong systems integration depth. 
  • The work primarily involves migrations:
  • From legacy proprietary systems (COBOL / FoxPro-based) to modern retirement platforms
  • Integration of retirement core systems with enterprise applications (e.g., CRM, finance, reporting, security layers)
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Architecture & Migration Leadership (Must-Have)
  • Define overall solution architecture for large-scale retirement system migrations
  • Assess current-state legacy platforms (COBOL, FoxPro, proprietary systems) and design target-state architecture
  • Lead architecture planning for system upgrades, conversions, and platform migrations
  • Evaluate and define how retirement core systems co-exist and integrate with broader enterprise ecosystems
 
FIS (Fidelity National Information Services) Platform Architecture (Primary Engagement) - 
  • Must have deep understanding of retirement platforms (particularly FIS Omni, FIS Relius, FIS FRP will be good to have) 
  • Architect coexistence strategies between FIS solutions and client applications
  • Resolve architecture-level issues across: (MUST HAVE)
  • Infrastructure
  • Data migration & reconciliation
  • Integration patterns (APIs, batch, file-based)
  • Security & compliance
  • Provide enterprise architecture leadership for legacy modernization
  • Assess FoxPro and COBOL-based systems and define migration path
 
Architect integration with enterprise systems such as:
  • Salesforce
  • Collaborate with existing FIS SMEs (deep platform expertise already available on client''s team)
  • Governance & Risk Mitigation
  • Identify architectural risks in migration programs
  • Provide solution oversight across multi-vendor environments
  • Support executive-level technical discussions
  • Develop architecture documentation, solution diagrams, and client-ready bios
 
Required Qualifications
  • 12–18+ years of overall IT experience
  • 5+ years as Enterprise / Solutions Architect in large transformation programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex system migrations or conversions
  • Experience with retirement industry platforms and recordkeeping systems
  • Strong architecture capability across:
  • Application architecture
  • Data migration strategy
  • Systems integration
  • Infrastructure planning
  • Security architecture
  • Experience working with legacy systems (COBOL / FoxPro) modernization
  • Ability to work in consulting environment with client-facing exposure
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with FIS retirement platforms (Omni, Relius, FRP)
  • Retirement domain experience (Defined Contribution, recordkeeping, plan administration)
  • Experience in large financial services organizations
  • Experience preparing architecture artifacts for client governance review
