Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support revenue accounting operations and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on ERP experience, and expertise in revenue recognition, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record operated and non-operated revenue across multiple products.
  • Prepare and post monthly revenue journal entries.
  • Process cash entries, reclassifications, reverse and rebook entries.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Analyze accrual-to-actual variances and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare journal entries in SAP and Excalibur.
  • Support owner inquiries through reconciliations and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to obtain revenue information.
  • Coordinate with Division Order teams to resolve revenue-related issues.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and company accounting policies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support special accounting projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 11+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification
  • MBA or Master's in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience with Excalibur
  • Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus
