Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support revenue accounting operations and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on ERP experience, and expertise in revenue recognition, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Record operated and non-operated revenue across multiple products.
- Prepare and post monthly revenue journal entries.
- Process cash entries, reclassifications, reverse and rebook entries.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Analyze accrual-to-actual variances and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries in SAP and Excalibur.
- Support owner inquiries through reconciliations and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to obtain revenue information.
- Coordinate with Division Order teams to resolve revenue-related issues.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and company accounting policies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support special accounting projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 11+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with SAP
- Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification
- MBA or Master's in Accounting/Finance
- Experience with Excalibur
- Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus
