Job Description:
• Client is seeking qualified candidates for a GIS analyst for projects including data review and cleanup/organization, data editing, and other various GIS projects.
Duties, Scope of Work, and/or Milestones
• The GIS Analyst Tier 1 will collaborate with the GIS team to enhance data organization and conduct thorough clean-up of GIS resources, systematically removing outdated or unnecessary products.
• This process will encompass all areas of the team's work, including locally stored project files and web-based platforms such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• The analyst will work closely with IT GIS staff and other departmental GIS personnel to review, evaluate, and streamline data and content.
• Additionally, the GIS analyst will support election-related GIS tasks.
• This role will need to learn Elections software Total Vote and Total Address to integrate Elections GIS data updates into Elections systems.
• This role will involve GIS data editing and map production.
• This role also involves participating in comprehensive data review and clean-up activities across local files and enterprise systems and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure data integrity and relevance.

• Support ongoing and ad hoc GIS projects including mapping, database updates, and reporting.
• The successful candidate must be able to work independently and with the team.

• Maintains and communicates the accurate status of work performed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of (4) years’ work experience in GIS or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency with GIS software/platforms:
o ArcGIS Pro
o ArcGIS Online
o ArcGIS Enterprise
• Intermediate experience using ArcGIS software listed above to create/edit data and create/modify static and web maps.
• Ability to learn Elections software Total Vote and Total Address for processing Elections data into the Elections system.
• Ability to organize, review, and clean up GIS data and project files across multiple platforms.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft products.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT staff and other departmental GIS personnel.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with GIS programming languages python, Arcade, and SQL
• Experience developing ArcGIS web content, such as web applications, dashboards, and maps, using ArcGIS Online and Enterprise.
• Experience integrating a variety of data sources into the ESRI/ArcGIS platform.
• Experience working with local government.
• Demonstrates professional organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Service Now.
