Genesis10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.The individual in this role is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain, contributing to the creation and integration of infrastructure tools and services. This position facilitates the deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks, and automation to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:- Assist in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
- Conduct on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
- Assist in evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Develop software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
- Assist Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers by ensuring that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
- Contribute to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains
- Act as a consultant on a range of technologies where he or she is a subject matter expert
- Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
Requirements:- 5 years of experience in platform, systems, or infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on automation and integration
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering automated Windows or Linux Server OS provisioning for on prem or internal cloud environments
- Strong Windows or Linux Server administration expertise (OS configuration, patching, roles/features, networking, storage, and security)
- Proficiency in PowerShell, shell scripting and Python, with experience building maintainable automation tools and workflows
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible or similar), and scripting with Python or equivalent
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, validation, and deployments
- Experience integrating provisioning workflows with platform services such as virtualization, networking, identity, monitoring, and configuration management systems
- Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows
Desired skills:- Automation for large-scale cloud deployments
- VMware vRealize
- Linux scripting (bash/python)
- API development with tools like Swagger WebAPI
