AI/ML Engineer Job Description Experience - 8-15 yrs.
Role: Data Center Intelligence Engineer (AI-Native)
Location: On-site Westlake TX / Phoenix AZ
Tooling: VS Code + GitHub Copilot
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a role for someone who writes code in one language and stops there. As an AI-Native Forward Deployed Engineer embedded with a DCops team, your primary instrument is judgment knowing what to build, why it matters, and how to use AI tooling to build it faster than expected.
You will work closely with the Data center Operation team, own an existing solution (C# backend + Node.js frontend), and drive its evolution. You will use GitHub Copilot and VS Code as your daily tools.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- C# backend services API integration, data pipelines, asset / rack / power data
- Node.js frontend dashboards, operational views, capacity visualization
Enhancements:
- New data domains thermal, lifecycle, network patch
- Frontend views capacity heatmaps, scoring, power analysis
- Integrations CMDB, AIOps, ServiceNow
- Agentic layer exposing data as tools for AI workflows
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in DCops standups and ceremonies
- Write specs before code
- Maintain knowledge base documentation
- Navigate governance for integrations and data access

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years software engineering
- AI-assisted development experience

- ServiceNow / CMDB integration
- Data center operations exposure
