Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake to support data-driven business initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and developers to gather requirements, analyze complex datasets, document business processes, and deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business users, product owners, and technical teams to define project scope and deliverables.
- Analyze large datasets using SQL to identify trends, validate data, and support business decisions.
- Work with Snowflake Data Cloud to query, validate, and analyze enterprise data.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and process flows.
- Perform data mapping, gap analysis, and impact analysis.
- Support data migration, ETL validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop reports and dashboards in collaboration with BI teams.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are maintained.
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Coordinate with QA and development teams during testing and production deployments.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
- Strong hands-on SQL experience (complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures).
- Experience working with Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and data validation.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.
- Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and use cases.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Matillion, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Python for data analysis (preferred).
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with Data Governance and metadata management.
- Knowledge of APIs and integration concepts.
