Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Project Manager - HR Data Migration to join their team. The Project Manager - HR Data Migration will help enable the successful delivery of global HR Evolution program by bringing structure and execution discipline to the HR data work required for the transition from approximately eight legacy HR systems to a single Oracle HCM platform. This role supports alignment across data governance, conversion, reporting, and security activities to reduce delivery risk and ensure data-related decisions and outcomes support the broader transformation.

Position Responsibilities:

The Project Manager - HR Data Migration leads execution across critical data workstreams within global HR Evolution program, transitioning from six legacy HR systems to a single Oracle HCM platform.

This role partners closely with the Sr. Manager, HR Data Governance (Data Governance Workstream Lead) to drive delivery across data governance, data conversion, reporting, and security. The role is responsible for coordinating and advancing the integrated project plan, managing dependencies, and ensuring execution across HR data domains and program workstreams.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management discipline and data fluency, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment. This individual will play a key role in driving progress, maintaining structure, and enabling effective stakeholder engagement across HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Data teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Data Governance Workstream Lead to plan and execute key initiatives across data conversion, data cleanup, data archival, security roles, and reporting
  • Maintain the integrated project plan in partnership with implementation partner, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and cross-workstream dependencies; track progress and drive follow-up on actions to ensure execution stays on track
  • Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points; escalate blockers with clear context and recommended paths forward
  • Support data conversion activities, including participation in data validation cycles, review of conversion outputs, and coordination of issue identification and remediation
  • Track and manage data quality issues, ensuring defects are logged, prioritized, and resolved in alignment with conversion timelines
  • Coordinate with functional and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment between data conversion activities and downstream impacts to reporting, integrations, and security models
  • Coordinate stakeholder inputs to support data governance and data quality initiatives, including development and distribution of training materials and user guidance
  • Support alignment with data privacy and compliance requirements in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings and workshops, including preparation of materials and structuring discussions to drive clear outcomes
  • Capture and document key outcomes, decisions, and actions, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through
  • Maintain consistent documentation of key artifacts, including requirements, decisions, and action logs 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2–5+ years of project management experience
  • Working knowledge of data management concepts, including data quality, data structures, and data lifecycle
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and follow-through across cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, MS Project, Jira, or similar)
  • Experience supporting data conversion, migration, or system implementation activities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with evolving priorities

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional programs or transformations
  • Exposure to HR systems (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors)
  • Experience in HR, data, or digital transformation programs
  • Familiarity with data privacy concepts and regulations

 

Salary/Rate: $55-$65/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
