Job Overview:
The Instructional Designer will work closely with the Program Manager to align with the prepared learning strategy. This role involves conducting comprehensive job and task analyses, as well as needs assessments, to identify effective training and performance learning solutions. The designer will be responsible for creating online self-paced, skill-based e-learning courses, developing course goals, learning objectives, and module-level objectives. Collaboration with subject matter experts is essential to develop complex training curricula and programs. Advanced eLearning technologies will be applied to create highly interactive digital learning experiences. Additionally, the role includes developing and implementing evaluation strategies to ensure learning outcomes are achieved, including support for valid, criterion-referenced assessments.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth job and task analyses and needs assessments to define learning objectives and determine effective training solutions.
  • Consult with Program Manager and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training curricula and establish program goals, objectives, and module-level objectives.
  • Design curriculum plans that support sustained employee performance and development over time.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create course content independently and collaboratively.
  • Design training primarily for self-paced skill-based e-learning, with potential inclusion of instructor-led classroom training, virtual classroom instruction, and blended learning approaches.
  • Collaborate with eLearning specialists to develop complex e-learning programs and applications.
  • Review evaluation data, assessment results, and feedback to assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Design evaluation strategies and measurement tools to determine whether targeted learning and performance outcomes have been achieved.
  • Assist in the development of valid, criterion-referenced assessments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of instructional design experience; Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field preferred.
  • Experience designing training for complex subject matter across multiple delivery modalities, including instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced eLearning.
  • Proficiency with course authoring tools, graphics, animation, and audio editing software.
  • Strong project management skills; experience with Wrike is a plus.
  • Excellent creative, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Broad knowledge of instructional technologies and advanced proficiency in eLearning development tools.
  • Ability to translate learning into clear and effective storyboards.
  • Proficiency in leveraging design methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM.
  • Strong ability to leverage AI tools.

Pay Range: $50 - $56/hour on W2
