Job Title: AI Tech Lead (SAP GenAI)
Location: 100% Remote – EST Hours Required

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on AI Tech Lead / Architect to support an inbound AI-driven messaging platform built using Python, SAP GenAI SDK, and Microsoft Agents 365 SDK.

The role focuses on enhancing, integrating, and supporting production-bound agentic AI services that identify master data errors within Retail S/4 environments and notify users through Microsoft Teams.

This position requires strong Python AI engineering and RAG expertise while working across multiple technologies, including SAP BTP, Azure, Microsoft Teams, bot frameworks, and ABAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Python AI Engineering: Build, enhance, and support Python-based AI services using SAP GenAI SDK, RAG pipelines, vector retrieval, and agentic workflows.
• Agentic AI Development: Contribute to backend AI frameworks and bot frameworks built using Microsoft Agents 365 SDK.
• SAP BTP Configuration: Support BPA, Cloud ALM, Kyma, and Cloud Foundry components supporting the AI platform.
• Azure & Bot Integration: Maintain and enhance Microsoft Teams notification workflows, Azure integrations, and bot interactions.
• ABAP Collaboration: Partner closely with SAP/ABAP developers; limited hands-on ABAP development may be required.
• Support production rollout while ensuring scalability, reliability, observability, and operational readiness.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in architecture, development, troubleshooting, and implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python engineering experience with AI/ML applications.
• Proven experience developing RAG solutions, vector retrieval systems, and agentic AI workflows.
• Experience with at least one AI agent framework such as Microsoft Agents SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
• Ability to operate at a Tech Lead / Architect level while remaining hands-on with development.
• Experience or familiarity with SAP BTP, including Kyma, Cloud Foundry, Cloud ALM, and related services.
• Experience integrating AI applications with Azure and Microsoft Teams environments.
• Strong understanding of production AI architecture, APIs, integrations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP GenAI SDK.
• Experience supporting production-grade AI or GenAI applications.
• Retail S/4 experience.
• SAP master data domain knowledge.
• Experience working across SAP, Azure, bot frameworks, and enterprise AI platforms.
