What Will You Be Doing:
As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in securing the backbone of mission-critical systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing cybersecurity solutions that span the entire system lifecycle, from initial planning to final validation.
Conducting risk assessments, including threat modeling and vulnerability analysis, to evaluate and address potential security gaps.
Collaborating with engineers and system architects to analyze and resolve cybersecurity trade-offs and system design constraints.
Performing cybersecurity testing to validate that hardware and software designs meet security requirements.
Employing proven cybersecurity methodologies, processes, and tools, ensuring consistent application across projects.
Supporting assessment and authorization activities to ensure compliance with required cybersecurity standards.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited university or related experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software engineering or a related field.
Experience working within the systems development life-cycle (SDLC)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
Must possess (or be able to obtain within six months of employment start date) a DoD 8570.01-M certification Security+ or higher (IAT Level II Certification)
Desired skills
NIST 800.53 Experience and Knowledge
Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Security tooling experience (e.g. Splunk/Trellix/Nessus)
Scripting experience (e.g. Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Software analysis (e.g. code, requirements, vulnerabilities)
Experience with windows server administration (e.g. Active Directory, Group Policy)
Network architecture design and configuration (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto).
Experience with Hypervisors (e.g. Hyper-V)
Linux Experience and Knowledge
Experience with Raise the Bar (RTB)
Patch/IAVM Management/Deployment
Experience using Security Center/ACAS - Assured Compliance Assessment Solution or other vulnerability scanning tools
Additional certifications in the cloud, networking, server and/or containerization

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $82,900 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $95,300 - $165,255. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
