Required Qualifications (Must Have)
• Hands-on professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) in an enterprise environment.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating core Google Cloud Platform services, including projects, IAM, VPC networking, compute, storage, and security configurations.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform identity and access management, service accounts, and secure workload authentication.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, firewall rules, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience supporting production cloud platforms with operational responsibilities, including troubleshooting and on call support.
Description
As a cloud infrastructure analyst, you will be responsible for advising, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions for our organization, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will work closely with technical and business teams to understand requirements, assess current infrastructure, and design cloud-based solutions that align with organizational goals across a multi-cloud environment.
This role requires close collaboration with other technical teams to develop cloud-based solutions, create and maintain documentation, and work with vendors and partners to identify, implement, and support appropriate technologies. You will be responsible for lifecycle management and automation of cloud infrastructure, identifying and mitigating security risks, and ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, reliable, and performant.
This position will require participation in an on-call rotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop Google Cloud Platform centric cloud architectures that meet technical and business requirements.
• Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to implement and maintain cloud solutions across Google Cloud Platform and other cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain cloud documentation including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Support cloud networking including VPC design, subnetting, firewall rules, routing, and hybrid connectivity across Google Cloud Platform, other clouds, and on prem environments.
• Identify and address security risks and ensure platforms align with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
• Monitor, optimize, and automate cloud-based infrastructure for availability, performance, best practices, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with operational teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure highly available and resilient cloud services.
• Stay current with Google Cloud Platform services, features, and best practices and apply improvements where appropriate.
• Work with technical and business teams to ensure cloud solutions align with organizational strategy and standards.
• Assess technical and business impact, quantify risk, and contribute to informed decision-making.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, or similar role working with enterprise SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as AKS, Databricks, and/or Data Factory.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and concepts.
• Experience with multi-cloud connectivity solutions, such as Google Cloud Platform Cloud Interconnect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Oracle FastConnect.
• Experience with enterprise firewall platforms; Palo Alto firewall experience preferred.
• Experience developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, JSON, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools, including Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver) and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with enterprise governance, DevOps practices, CI/CD methodologies, and cloud security controls.
• Familiarity with utility industry regulatory requirements such as NERC CIP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
