Senior Software Engineer - Java/React

Job Summary

We are seeking three high-caliber Senior Software Engineers to join a specialized team at our client's corporate headquarters in Burlington, MA. This is a 12-month remote contract (with a preference for candidates who can work onsite) focused on high-impact development within a major Wealth Initiative. The successful candidates will be responsible for full-cycle development, acting as self-starters who can hit the ground running with minimal training. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, mission-critical applications that support complex investment and wealth management workflows.

Core Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Lead the design and implementation of sophisticated front-end interfaces using React and robust back-end services using Java.
• Agile Participation: Actively engage in Agile meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure project momentum.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks and technical debt within the wealth management platform.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work closely with team members to establish development environments and maintain high code quality through peer reviews.
• Solution Architecture: Translate complex business requirements from the wealth management sector into actionable technical specifications and scalable software solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience Level: 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Industry Expertise: Direct experience within the Investment Management or Wealth Management sectors is required.
• Technical "Must-Haves":
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java.
  • Strong front-end skills in React.
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
  • Experience with Database design and management.
  • Familiarity with C# development.
• Work Logistics: * Ability to support meetings in the Eastern Time Zone (EST), including afternoon sessions.
  • While the role is remote, preference will be given to candidates local to the Burlington, MA or Greater Boston area for onsite collaboration.
