Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay: $30.24 - $68.07 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience and the level hired into, see details below.

This is a full-time, exempt/salary position on UCHealth's Database Administration team to support Cach/Iris database. Candidates must reside in an approved state to be eligible for consideration. This role does require some work outside of normal business hours to assist with go-lives and updates as necessary.

This position requires an experienced administrator to maintain various EPIC database environments for a growing company that serves 25,000+ users.

Candidates will be considered for one of the following:

  • Database Administrator Associate (1+ years of relevant experience): $30.24 - $45.36 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
  • Database Administrator (3+ years of relevant experience): $37.04 - $55.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
  • Database Administrator Senior (5+ years of relevant experience): $45.38 - $68.07 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Key Factors:
    • Strong technical problem solver who can resolve issues within EPIC(Cach/Iris) database
    • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, shell scripts
    • Ability to balance work across a diverse set of customers, projects, goals and priorities
    • Ability to discuss requirements directly with customers and deliver satisfactory solutions as well as support various technical issues/tickets
Summary:
Designs, implements, and maintains assigned advanced databases and database management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert for Cach/Iris
      • Install, Configure and Maintain database environments
      • Set up and configure Epic monitoring tools (Redalert, System Pulse), manage alerts and logs, set up, configure and manage administrative tools
      • Monitoring of service health, management of service requests, change management
      • Proactively find issues within the environment and help put processes in place to prevent problems.
  • Monitors the performance, security, integrity and recovery of assigned databases, at an advanced level.
  • Leads project design, contributing expertise in advanced data management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Develops, optimizes, and enforces database administration standards, policies and procedures.
  • Manages the scheduling and operation of advanced database projects, database and transaction log backups, notifications, and upgrades/enhancements.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
