Job Overview:

Seeking a hands-on Java Market Data Developer to support its Market Data Engineering and Development team, focused on building and enhancing real-time data platforms and integrations with leading market data vendors such as Bloomberg and LSEG/Refinitiv.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based market data applications and services.
Integrate and support vendor market data APIs (Bloomberg B-Pipe, Refinitiv Elektron, etc.).
Build real-time data ingestion, normalization, and distribution pipelines.
Partner with trading, quant, and infrastructure teams to deliver low-latency data solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues related to market data feeds, entitlements, and distribution.
Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability across market data platforms.
Contribute to architecture and design of next-generation market data systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

10+ years of Java development experience in financial services.
Strong experience with market data systems and vendor APIs (Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv).
Hands-on experience with real-time streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, Solace, Tibco, etc.).
Solid understanding of market data concepts (pricing, reference data, symbology, entitlements).
Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
Strong debugging and production support capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Knowledge of FIX protocol or trading systems.
Exposure to Python for scripting or data analysis.
Familiarity with Linux environments and distributed systems.
