What does a successful VP, Software Development Engineering, do at Fiserv?
A successful VP, Software Development Engineering at Fiserv leads the modernization and re-architecture of applications to meet evolving business needs. This leader develops strategic technology roadmaps and partners with product managers, designers, agile coaches and clients to deliver high-value software in an Agile environment. They build a client-centric engineering culture and lead multiple critical workstreams across digital banking, identity, risk assessment, fraud detection, decision management and Digital Cloud Engineering with speed and excellence.

What you will do?
  • Deliver high-quality solutions and product capabilities efficiently across multiple critical workstreams.
  • Drive engineering and technology excellence across multiple groups while building client-centric solutions.
  • Build, nurture and lead teams to achieve rapid, high-quality results, align on measurable goals, and maintain a culture of ownership, autonomy, quality and speed.
  • Identify and implement systems and tools that enhance engineering velocity and evolve the product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and UX to implement Agile practices, refine engineering processes such as version control and automated testing, and attract, evaluate and guide top software engineering talent to drive innovation and client value.

What you must have?
  • 12+ years of experience leading development teams and organizations across all lifecycle phases and driving process improvements.
  • 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development, cloud services, data structures and resilient services, along with 8+ years managing senior executive and client communications.
  • 8+ years of experience managing a financial portfolio spanning 10+ products and 100+ resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work or military experience.

What would be nice to have?
  • 6+ years of experience managing large vendor engagements and driving vendors to deliver specific outcomes.
  • 6+ years of experience managing and coaching managers and senior technologists to deliver global, scalable solutions with high quality.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably in Azure, along with experience in financial services and proficiency with test automation and CI/CD.

Salary Range
$272,000.00 - $408,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
