Summary

REQUIRED SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field from an accredited college or university and five or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning, including query optimization, index strategy, vacuum and analyze tuning, and parameter configuration.
Experience monitoring and troubleshooting PostgreSQL database performance, resource utilization, and availability.
Experience administering Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora for PostgreSQL.
Strong SQL development skills across online transaction processing and analytical data platforms.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and to follow complex oral and written instructions.
Ability to organize work for timely completion and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships.
Experience with AWS Lake Formation and data lake deployment and administration.
General understanding of Amazon Redshift architecture and service model, including role-based access control, user and group management, and security permissions.
Experience with AWS Glue and AWS Database Migration Service.
Database certification in PostgreSQL or Oracle preferred.
