Job Location: Reston, VA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $78.33hr - $83.33hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with software development, basic coding and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition and software specification development.
  • ServiceNow Developer Certification is required.
  • ServiceNow Admin Certification is preferred.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, CMDB, ITOM, and SOM.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow APIs and scripting including Business Rules and Client Scripts.
  • Expertise in customization and configuration of ServiceNow modules using JavaScript and UI development.
  • Advanced knowledge of web technologies including XML, JSON, and REST APIs.
  • Advanced knowledge of data management and database concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of security protocols including LDAP and SSO.
  • Advanced knowledge of UX/UI design and implementation.
  • Advanced knowledge of continuous integration within DevOps environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of API Management Tools and GIT/BitBucket.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
  • Advanced knowledge of database technologies including SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, or PostgreSQL.
  • Advanced knowledge of test-first practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Strong experience with Deployment, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery processes and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical detail design, coding, and testing of applications.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for discussions related to maintaining and enhancing existing software systems.
  • Develop and analyze interface design documentation.
  • Comply with hardware and software systems standards, code quality, migration, and dev/ops policies.
  • Perform software analysis, including requirements and use case development and design.
  • Implement and document source code to design specifications.
  • Perform software testing including developing and running automated unit tests and executing structured automated test cases.
  • Compile, assess, and report data results from software testing and analysis.
  • Develop software solutions for enterprise environments and other technologies.
  • Analyze and implement functional and non-functional requirements such as performance and availability.
  • Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) of existing systems while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide direct technical support for high-level, high-visibility, and critical trouble calls for supported applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop highly reliable software that runs at scale.
  • Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet team needs.
  • Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap or architecture discussions.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and review the work of other developers to provide feedback.
  • Decompose functional and technical requirements into project activities and tasks.
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate technical requirements effectively to all levels of expertise.
