seeking a Lead Solution Architect to support the BIOS Program, specifically focused on Planning and Manufacturing within the Oracle Fusion ecosystem. This architect will evaluate how Oracle Fusion is being leveraged today, identify gaps, improve observability, strengthen data flow, and ensure scalable, robust architectural design across planning and manufacturing systems.
This role spans Oracle Fusion, multi-cloud integration, and modern architecture practices, with heavy collaboration across cross-functional teams. Although the role has no direct reports, this architect will oversee and guide technical teams, review designs, and provide leadership across solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership
- Serve as the lead architect for Planning and Manufacturing within the BIOS program.
- Assess existing Fusion-based architectural designs and recommend improvements for performance, observability, and data quality.
- Ensure architecture eliminates data gaps and aligns with enterprise standards.
Oracle Fusion & SCM Integration
- Leverage deep knowledge of Oracle Fusion Planning and Manufacturing modules (one required; both preferred).
- Understand how Fusion data is used across planning, scheduling, production, and supply chain flows.
- Provide architecture oversight for integrations between Fusion, on-prem systems, cloud platforms, and boundary applications.
Cloud & Integration Architecture
- Utilize expertise in Oracle OCI, Azure, and multi-cloud environments (AWS exposure preferred).
- Support design and governance across:
- OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud)
- BIP (BI Publisher)
- Azure-based integration patterns
- Hybrid cloud and on-prem connectivity
Cross-Functional Oversight
- Oversee and guide engineering and integration teams (no direct reports).
- Collaborate closely with planning, manufacturing, infrastructure, and data teams.
- Review architectural diagrams, code, sequence flows, and documentation.
- Ensure solutions are testable, observable, and aligned with deployment and operational readiness standards.
Documentation & Communication
- Produce high-quality architectural documentation.
- Communicate complex design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure traceability and clarity across design, implementation, and testing phases.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Expertise
- Strong background in SCM Planning and/or Manufacturing systems.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion in manufacturing and planning contexts.
- Proficiency in:
- OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
- Azure (primary cloud environment)
- OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud)
- BIP (BI Publisher)
- Ability to read code, interpret technical diagrams, and validate integration logic.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Cloud & Integration
- Multi-cloud experience (Azure required; AWS preferred).
- Understanding of hybrid architectures integrating cloud + on-prem systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise manufacturing data flows and system interoperability.
